Data Center Cooling Audit
Cooling is one of the biggest problems in today's data center environment. New high-density technologies such as Blade servers, SAN's etc. are compounding to the problem. An important factor to note is though that most of the cooling problems are actually caused by the setup of the data center. Our audits reveal that most data centers lack effective cooling principles leading to an average loss of cooling capacity between 30-60%.
This automatically indicates that in most cases customers do not need to add cooling capacity but all they need to do, in many cases, understand how the current setup can be improved to achieve better efficiency and therefore better capacity usage of the existing cooling infrastructure installed.
The DCCA is an extensive cooling audit which evaluates the cooling infrastructure including floor planning and usage, pressure testing, temperature and humidity analysis, air conditioner performance and coordination etc.
