EPI concluded a Tier-2 audit based on compliance against the ANSI/TIA-942 standard in Viet Nam.

The audit was conducted on a data centre which was built by the data centre design and built company called TD South. The customer of TD South is one of the largest hypermarket retailer (Big C Viet Nam)  in Viet Nam with many stores across the country. The stores are obviously mission critical and as part of the quality assurance of the data centre built as well as the availability requirements of the customer EPI was chosen to conduct a due diligence audit.

  ANSI/TIA-942 was chosen as it is the only public standard available on the market with Tier level descriptions which customers can review so that they can understand what the retailer has implemented in terms of security and redundancy measures on this particular data centre.

The customers also owns another data centre in another location of Viet Nam and the two sites are having failover capabilities to each other therefore creating a Tier-4 type of application availability with two Tier-2 type of facilities. The other data centre facility will be upgrade during the course of next year and will then also be assessed against the requirements of ANSI/TIA-942.
